Intermediate woe.

Dundela 1-2 Ballycare Comrades 07/01/2012 Intermediate Cup Rd 3.

After an extended Christmas break Dundela exited the Intermediate Cup with defeat at home to Comrades.
The opening ten minutes saw both sides having chances to take the lead,Dundela coming closest when Flood in the away goal saved a Dee Wright effort. However five minutes later Comrades took the lead through Simms well struck volley.
Dundela were now pressing hard for an equalizer but keeper Flood held firm until Wright did level matters on 40 minutes with a well placed header. That was the strikers 20th goal of the season, a great return from the front man in his debut season.
As half time approached Dundela strived for another but again Flood was the hero for Comrades with several fine stops.
HT 1-1
The second half was a real disappointment for the home side as they seemed to lose their way and rarely threatened Floods goal. They paid the price for a lack lustre show when McClelland netted just passed the hour mark although he did seem to be at least a yard offside.
Dundela offered little in response as the game drew to a close and indeed Comrades could have added a third before referee Creaney brought the game to an end.
