Killymoon Rangers 1-2 Dundela 04/02/2012 Championship2
If Dundela were to continue their push for promotion then victory at Killymoon was a must.
The first half was a bit of a non event with both teams struggling to put any telling moves together, although the home side did have a couple of speculative efforts hitting the woodwork. Dundela’s best chance fell to Ben Roy but the front man fired his shot wide.
HT 0-0
The game finally came to life just past the hour mark with Dundela pressing hard. They won a free kick 25 yards from goal and up stepped dead ball king Scot Hill to fire an unstopable shot past the diving Brown in the home goal.
Three minutes later it was 2 nil when after a quick break from the back William Faulkner elude several tackles to score.
Dundela now looked comfortable but Sergeant still had to be alert to thwart a Killymoon attack when it seemed as if they would get back into the game.
With time ticking out Killymoon did get their goal when Young scored from close range after Dundela failed to clear a corner.
The goal was a mere consolation as Dundela held out without further trouble to secure those three valuable points.
